By installing or using the SmartTab Chrome extension ("SmartTab"), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the extension.
1. License & Use
SmartTab is provided free of charge for personal, non-commercial use. You may install and use SmartTab to customize your Chrome new tab page. You may not reverse-engineer, resell, or redistribute SmartTab as a paid product.
2. Service Description
SmartTab replaces Chrome's default new tab with a customizable dashboard including widgets such as to-do lists, weather, Pomodoro timer, stocks, cryptocurrency rates, Gmail preview, notes, and more. Features may change as we improve the extension.
3. Optional Permissions
Some features require optional Chrome permissions you can enable or disable:
- Gmail widget — requires Google OAuth sign-in
- Top Sites widget — requires the topSites permission
- Favicon display — optional favicon permission
4. Disclaimer
SmartTab is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. Stock, crypto, and weather data come from third-party APIs and may be inaccurate or unavailable. Password storage is local to your browser — you are responsible for securing your device and PIN.
5. Changes
We may update SmartTab or these terms at any time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
6. Privacy
Your use of SmartTab is also governed by our Privacy Policy.
